Congratulations to all those who made it to our seminar in Hastings on 26th January 2008. We had a great day and I met some very enthusiastic people who I feel confident will be an asset to the new CCMA affiliated club at the excellently run Zeus Gym.
My thanks to all the students who attended. I particularly would like to single out Laura, Chris and Dean for sticking with the entire course and showing such determination and great spirit. Big thanks to Sue Kennedy, the owner of Zeus Gym, for having the belief in this seminar and CCMA in Hastings.
Finally my gratitude and congratulations to my long time friend, Stuart Allen who booked me for the seminar and is now part of the CCMA Instructor Training Programme. Stuart has a great background in combat training coupled with real-life experiences of working night club doors for six years. His main focus has always been on the clinch (in MMA terms), having been trained by the legendary pro wrestler, Adrian Street, who schooled Stu in old style Catch Wrestling as part of his fundamental training. However, Stu also has experience in Kickboxing and Chinese martial arts and is a dedicated student of the CCMA “Process”. I look forward to reviewing the progress of CCMA’s first affiliated school in the near future.
