Gradings

CCMA prides itself on not only having a very unique approach to training, but is also in alignment with the practices of some of the best and most respected realistic self-protection systems in existance.

In order to keep CCMA a totally open and realistic method we continually experiment, investigate and test the latest and most revered close-quarter combat systems available. We then test CCMA, as a whole, by having an independent, experienced and highly respected member of the self-defence community preside over our gradings to give their official stamp of approval. Therefore a student who passes a CCMA grade will have a certificate and record that proves they have proven their competance not only in front of the association’s teachers and founder but also in front of one of the martial arts/self-defence community’s most highly acclaimed instructors.

To further validate CCMA’s constant striving for indisputable validation, once a student enters intemediate grades they begin coursework that are in line with National Vocational Qualification standards. Students also have an option to complete an NVQ government recognised qualification.
