The problem was clear. How do you keep karate at the centre, while adding enough live practice from boxing, wrestling, and other pressure-tested methods to make self-defence training honest? Four changes stood out.

Their updated strategy focuses on categorizing training types and using gamification and context to help students learn more effectively.
