Countering the round kick to the body

Hour four of my client's Kickboxing course focused on dealing with the round kick to the body. We are specifically concerned with catching kicks. After drilling shin-checks to the calf-kick, low round kick to the thigh and mid-section, we sparred pitting kicks against checking and countering with a straight punch. After this, I introduced the Dutch-block. This was in preparation for the kick-catch. We then sparred four rounds of developing this counter and how to avoid it under pressure.
