Double Leg Takedown Layering (diary entry)

My 1.5 hour client focused back on Wrestling. Tonight's focus was the double leg takedown and looked at ways to break this down into specific exercises. After a warm-up sport specific callisthenics and dynamic stretching we moved through the following three minute rounds:
Leg tagging (looking for the double tag)
Leg tagging with grips permitted
Foot stepping only
Foot stepping with grips permitted
Foot stepping, leg tagging and grips permitted
Ditto
Tagging with the hip only
Ditto
Hip tagging, leg tagging and grips permitted
Sparring from half-kneeling position (effectively in the double leg takedown position)
Ditto
Greco Roman sparring
Freestyle sparring
