Isolating the arm from the back (diary entry)

21.05.2024 Hour two of my client’s Submission Grappling course brought us on attacking and defending the back with a focus on isolating the arm. We sparred through the following 5-minute rounds:

  1. Begin in back-mount with arm already in a Kimura grip - attack and defend isolating the arm using the legs

  2. Ditto

  3. Begin in seat-belt hold - attack and defend isolating the arm using the legs

  4. Ditto

  5. Free-sparring
