MMA Review (diary entry)

26.06.2023 Hour nine of my couple client's MMA course and time to review and test their styles. After our usual warm-up of muscle activation and mobility exercises, they sparred for 6 x 2 minute rounds before training with me for an intensive technique, speed and power workout. Round 1 - Boxing with MMA gloves Round 2 - Kickboxing with MMA gloves Round 3 - Shoot-Boxing Round 4 - Shoot-Kickboxing Round 5 - Ground 'n Pound Round 6 - Ground 'n Pound The technique, speed and power workouts were conducted as follows: Technique: 5 minute round on the focus mitts divided up into boxing, kickboxing, clinch, top position ground 'n pound and bottom position ground 'n pound. Speed: Tabata Protocol ( 8 x 20 seconds with 10 second breaks) - 1. straight punches 2. sprawls 3. hooks 4. sit-outs or triangle chokes 5. uppercuts 6. alternate knees 7. right leg round kicks 8. left leg round kicks Power: 10 x rear hand straight punches, 10 x lead hooks, 10 x rear round kicks and 10 x switch-kicks   https://clubbchimera.com/services/
