Pre-Emptive Strikes & Incidental Combinations (diary entry)

28.09.2023 Hour eight of my client's course on self-protection brought him up to striking off the fence. We began with drilling pre-emption from boundary breaches. Once this was confirmed we moved onto setting the fence, which provides the defender with more time and confirmation that the threat is going to become physical. After some target familiarisation, we moved onto the focus mitts for impact training. This was then turned into continuous striking until the target is covered and paired with tactical escape.
