Punching Power

Hour four of my client's second Boxing course and we are onto our second conditioning class. After a 5-minute sparring we began a strength session focused on developing strong punching. Few things beat a good heavy bag session, but resistance training, especially with older clients, develops a healthier skeletal-muscular structure.


3 sets x 6 reps heavy dumbbell single arm bench press

2 x 10 reps landmine shoulder press/standing single arm row superset

2 x 10 reps landmine rotations

2 x 10 reps dumbbell swings (light weight)

2 x 10 reps dumbbell snatches (light weight)
