Speed & Power Footwork (diary entry)

27.10.20 Tuesday's second lesson brought my client to the seventh hour of his Western Boxing for Martial Arts Cross Training course. We looked at more work bringing punching and footwork together. The first half of the lesson consisted of building up punching combinations in conjunction with footwork and slipping. We began with a simple step jab and then followed that with a step back/cross. Next I introduced a slip left/jab and then trained slip right/cross in isolation before combining them and then combining all four punches and movements. Finally, I coupled body blocks with a lengthy combination of lead uppercut/liver shot/cross/lead hook. 4
