The premise for most rounds was to do two combinations primarily featuring the chosen technique. As we progressed, I encouraged my client to suggest his own combinations. This was to make the entire experience less passive and more proactive. Here and there I would suggest ways to improve the combination he put forward from a tactical perspective. The way this training best works is warm-up through the first couple of rounds and then set an explosive pace. Here the combinations come out fast and fluid, but there is sufficient time between them for the fighter to compose themselves and check technique.
