YouTube is full of bad tyre flipping technique. Even some of the best people involved in functional fitness regularly opt out of the correct driving method - hips back, on balls of the feet, arms wrapped around as wide as possible and driving forward to dig the other side of the tyre into the ground to use as a pivot point. They tend go for the ugly deadlift/sumo lift method, which not only puts the biceps at risk, but doesn't develop the form you need to strengthen double-leg takedowns and shoots. Furthermore, the bad technique limits the weight of tyre you can flip.
Here a young lightweight (size NOT heart) Vagabond Warrior is assisted with the initial pick up stage. Some atheletes advocate putting small blocks on the side of the tyre to get this first bit of leverage. He then drives the tyre over.
