Protecting the Frontline course for teachers 3 (diary entry)

16.02.2022 Wednesday morning and I moved onto the third lesson (fourth in total) of my teacher client's course on self-protection. Here we discussed the main methods employed to teach awareness. The strengths and weaknesses of the Cooper Colour Code and the Boyd OODA loop were unpacked. I presented Mo Teague's solutions for addressing these short-falls from a self-protection perspective: breaking down situational awareness and using the "Three Rs". We also discussed useful footage for demonstrating awareness such "unattentional blindness" via "The Monkey Business Illusion" and "Sean of the Dead". My client offered the latter movie's sequel, "Hot Fuzz" to illustrate points regarding context.
