Teacher Training 8 - KEWAP (DIARY ENTRY)

17.10.2023 Hour eight brought us onto the Knife and Edged Weapon Awareness Programme section of my teacher training. This class was less about actual teacher training and more to do with exposing the teachers of Hostlebro Taekwondo Klub, Denmark, to the material I have on edged weapon awareness and defence. This week was all soft skills and theory work. We covered reasons why people carry knives, the elevated legal risks of carrying knives (and other offensive weapons), the elevated health risk of carrying carrying a knife, the risks involved when facing an offender armed with an edged weapon, early observations on a suspected weapon carrying person's behaviour, observations on typical presence indicators of concealed weapons, non-physical tactics, prioritising tactical escape, the importance of manufacturing and maintaining distance, use of incidental weapons, the fence relating to handling an armed aggressor and unarmed responses to handling an armed attacker. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
