Distance Learning for Martial Arts: Muay Thai Elbow Strikes for Taekwondo (Online Martial Arts Teacher Training)
Elbow strikes expose gaps that long-range kicking arts can hide. Once the range collapses, footwork, posture, hand position, and balance get tested fast.
The theme came from recent work with Cotswold Karate School. We took elbow strikes from Muay Thai, placed them in a Taekwondo training context, and tested them through specific sparring rounds. The aim was not to turn Taekwondo into Thai boxing. It was to study a proven striking tool and see how it behaves under pressure.

Sharper Elbows in Muay Thai Sparring: Techniques and Strategies for Martial Arts Cross-Training
Elbows are one of the most powerful and versatile weapons in Muay Thai. This session involved a series of sparring rounds designed to sharpen elbow techniques in various scenarios.

Integrating Elbow Techniques into Karate Training for Effective Bunkai Applications (Muay Thai Personal Training)
Elbows are natural weapons in close combat. Their short range and bone structure make them ideal for quick, powerful strikes that can break through an opponent’s guard. Traditional Karate bunkai often includes elbow movements, but these are usually practiced in solo kata or pre-arranged drills without resistance. This leaves practitioners unprepared for real sparring or self-defense scenarios where timing, angles, and counters matter.
