Distance Learning for Martial Arts: Muay Thai Elbow Strikes for Taekwondo (Online Martial Arts Teacher Training)
Elbow strikes expose gaps that long-range kicking arts can hide. Once the range collapses, footwork, posture, hand position, and balance get tested fast.
The theme came from recent work with Cotswold Karate School. We took elbow strikes from Muay Thai, placed them in a Taekwondo training context, and tested them through specific sparring rounds. The aim was not to turn Taekwondo into Thai boxing. It was to study a proven striking tool and see how it behaves under pressure.

Straight Knee Heavy Bag Session for Online Martial Arts Training
One of my teacher clients from Hostlebro Taekwondo Klub in Denmark continued his regular online training with me and asked for a special session on knees and elbow strikes. The lesson changed pace with a father and son pairing working on the traditional scarf-hold, also known in many grappling rooms as kesa gatame. Rather than treating it as a static pin, we used it as a live attacking position. The focus was simple: control the body,

Online Martial Arts Training: Submission Grappling Flow Drill for Pin and Guards
A grappling dummy will never replace a live training partner, but it can still teach useful habits if the session has structure.
Tonight’s remote lesson with a teacher client from Hostlebro Taekwondon Klub in Denmark was meant to be boxing-based. We changed direction and moved into submission grappling instead. With no training partner available, the dummy became the training body, and the goal became clear: make the positions feel connected rather than treating each choke
