29.08.19   We covered the third hour of my client’s course on Sparring Conditioning. We are currently focusing on the stand-up range (Boxing and Muay Thai). Today we ramped our training up to 10 x 3 minute rounds with one minute breaks to focus on specific areas.   The lesson began with dynamic stretching and sport specific callisthenics. We then did ladder agility drills and agility cone drills to develop footwork. The lesson then went into the 10 rounds.   Round 1   Western Boxing Mirror Footwork   Round 2   Muay Thai Mirror Footwork   Round 3   Focus Mitts – Western Boxing   Round 4   One-for-one kick targeting   Round 5   Focus Mitts & Belly Pad – Boxing combinations with autonomous body shots, teeps and knee Strikes   Round 6   Thai Pads & Bell Pad – Muay Thai combinations with autonomous strikes to the body plus shin checks etc.   Round 7   Western Boxing Sparring   Round 8   Muay Thai Clinch Sparring Round 9   Muay Thai sparring   Round 10   Muay Thai sparring   We finished with PNF stretching.
