The sixth lesson at Tudor Hall school introduced the concept of trust in self-protection. This formed the personal security side of training, where we went through a basic diagram for determining how to set boundaries with people and establish levels of trust.
The self-defence section moved us onto regaining the initiative as students learnt the tactic of covering if struck and over-riding an attack with a counter-attack. This training was performed by using the code-white test, where students closed their eyes to simulate surprise and a physical prompt moved them directly into an attack situation.
The cover was then progressed into multiple attack situations and changing of ranges, covering and fighting from different postures.
