Hour six of my client's Kickboxing course looked towards improving more fluidity in kicks. We used the double round kick to improve this area. The lesson started by applying Damien Trainor's bouncing shin check round kick drill against the heavy bag. By doing this off both sides my client was able to create a better rhythm in his kicking. We then took this into a partner drill before building on it through constraints-led sparring rounds.

Focus mitt work - all combinations involving the double round kick
Heavy bag work - as above
This type of training builds confidence in throwing the mid-section round kick correctly, blends it with other techniques, such as punches, and teaches a strong counter-kick behaviour
