My second lesson of the evening saw the return of a client who I last saw in October. She had one lesson left in her course that was completed today. We are training in Muay Thai where previously, we were heavily into restrictive training methods to prepare her for recovering after an operation. However, since having the operation she has done remarkable work to get back up to speed. With her fitness levels up to a good level, she was keen to do a thorough cardio-based session.
We sparred for 5 x 3 minute rounds with active rest sets of 40-50 seconds of squat-teeps, press-ups with straight punches and sit-ups with jab/crosses

Kicking only
Clinch only (no strikes)
Clinch with strikes
Free sparring
She then did three rounds of Tabata.
Technique Only round
Jab, cross, hook, outside low round kick
Cross, hook, uppercut, inside low round kick
Jab, cross, inside low round kick, outside body round kick
Alternate teeps and body round kicks
Repeat for the next four sets
Speed Only round
Straight punching
Alternative knee strikes
Round kick right leg
Round kick left leg
Repeat for the next four sets
Power Only round
Rear straight punches
Lead hooks
Round kick with the right leg
Round kick with the left leg
