Body and leg targets

My 1.5 hour client trained in Muay Thai tonight, but we made a decision to have no head contact in our sparring. This forced us into an interesting dynamic. Punches could now only be body shots and kicks could only be to the legs and body, including knee strikes. Elbows were permitted to the body and arms but we did not wear pads. What we found was that exchanges were more intense due to the need to engage at closer range for the body shots.
