Hour eight of my client's course brought us onto the ropes to look at methods for getting under an opponent's guard. In other words, this was my unsubtle way of introducing the uppercut. We focused on the lead using the following 3 minute games:
Attack versus defence against the wall - using any strikes to land a punch under the guard.
Attack versus counter-attack against the wall - all attempted punches under the guard are countered
Ditto
Attack versus counter-attack against the wall - leading with punches under the guard
Ditto
Tabata burnout on the focus mitts: 4 x 20 second speed uppercuts (shoe shine) 4 x second power uppercuts 10 second rest spots We discussed and analysed the uppercut jab in addition to the mid and close range versions of the lead uppercut. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
