Flow attack

My longer-term teenage client rounded off the week with a lesson based on developing fluid positioning. We used the following 3-minute rounds:


  1. one-for-one sparring

  2. counters off the jab

  3. counters off jab/cross

  4. body shot sparring

  5. jabs to the head and jab/cross to the body only

  6. focus mitts - American style counter-attacks

  7. focus mitts/belly pad - attack/counter-attack on mitts/autonomous combinations on the belly pad

  8. heavy bag - flowing in and out of range

  9. heavy bag - switching levels

  10. heavy bag - freestyle

  11. heavy bag - speed only

  12. heavy bag - power only
