12.12.2023 My second lesson on Tuesday brought my client onto the seventh hour of his Submission Grappling course. Tonight we focused entirely on completing pinning drill. This is a simple pattern of pins linked together that are performed in both directions around a partner lying on their back. My client has been introduced to each of the pins in the previous six lessons and has been shown transitions from them all to the next pin as well as escapes. The purpose of the pinning drill is to be able to understand correct transitioning. Once he had successfully memorised the sequence and was performing them with reasonable flow, we trained 2 x 2 minutes of mild resistance. He had the opportunity to both pin against some resistance and also to resist. It wasn't quite specific sparring, which we have previously done, due to my emphasis on better getting technical aspect correct. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
