Half-guard and leg locks (diary entry)

25.07.2024 As the title indicates, my client's new 10-hour course continued with his half-guard work and focused on attacking the legs. After discussing and moving through some simple attacking principles from the half-guard bottom position, we trained the following 5-minute specific sparring rounds:

  1. Transition from conventional half-guard to knee-shield/z-guard, forearm frame and under-hook the knee.

  2. Ditto (other side)

  3. Transition from framing positions to capturing the leg.

  4. Ditto (other side)
