My couple client concluded their course on Boxing, where we have mainly been focused on fighting out of the corner/off the ropes, with a two-hour lesson. We decided to look more at defensive skills and head movement in particular. The lesson began where we had mainly trained: on the wall. To make matters more difficult and to isolate head movement, we had one individual defend for the first round with their guard down relying entirely on evasive skills.
The lesson consisted of the following 2-minute rounds:
Heel on the wall: head movement only to jabs and crosses
Ditto
Ditto
Heel on the wall: defender's objective to counter punches with slips and straights versus attacker's objectives to land two straights in succession.
Ditto
Ditto
Fighting within four square feet: attacker versus counter-attacker (slipping emphasised)
Ditto
Ditto
Circle zone - jab from outside circle versus counter punching from inside circle

Attack versus counter-attack

The lesson finished with some static and PNF stretching warm-down. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
