Mixed Martial Arts Personal Training


The last private lesson of Monday evening concluded my couple client's Mixed Martial Arts Personal Training course. This particular plan has focused on shoot-boxing, which covers the stand-up to clinch range of the sport. Tonight we took the inspiration from the Jeff Chan seminar one of the pair attended two weeks ago and saw to integrate it into outside fighting.

Specific Sparring


We used the following 3-minute rounds to train fighting from the outside.


Rounds 1-3: Boxing with MMA gloves from the outside range against the centre of the gym

Rounds 4-6: As above but employing kickboxing rules

Rounds 7-9: Outside range is permitted kickboxing techniques whereas the inside seeks to clinch.


We then finished with three rounds of free-sparring within the shoot-kickboxing ruleset.
