18.05.2022 My first lesson changed from being a junior MMA lesson to a junior submission grappling lesson. I decided to focus on getting my client's body mechanics and relevant conditing up to steam. He needs more exercises he can perform at home to improve his ground-fighting skills. Therefore, we covered a 20 minute non-stop series of exercises replicating movements for bridging, snaking, combat base, hip escapes, hip bumps, kimura from guard, triangle chokes, omoplatas, arm-bars from guard and sit-outs. These were also complemented with relevant muscle activation exercises. The lesson was finished with a look at the sit-out escape. The second lesson was senior submission grappling where we continued working with the z-guard. This time I looked at a sweep that transitioned from buterfly guard to z-guard. It worked as a nice complement to the cross-face defence we worked on last lesson. Next lesson I plan to revise them both. We finished with 4 x 2 minute rounds of specific sparring. The first two rounds were attack and defence from butterfly guard and rounds 3 and 4 were from the z-guard. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
