Against the ropes

05.08.2024 Hour six of my couple client's latest series of lessons on Boxing and we took advantage of the new full-time gym by making use of the walls. Fighting on the ropes, the cage/fence or just against a wall are factors that affect a lot of combat disciplines. We used this area to help further develop my two clients' styles. We completed the following 9 x 2-minute rounds:

  1. Defenders must keep back heel against the wall.

  2. Ditto.

  3. Ditto.

  4. Defender fights off the wall to a metre point.

  5. Ditto.

  6. Ditto.

  7. Fighting in clinch against the wall. Defender works to turn the attacker.

  8. Ditto

  9. Ditto
