Out Boxing in Muay Thai (diary entry)

17.04.2023 Having made so much of focusing on the Muay Thai clinch with three of my regular clients, I decided to keep today's focus on out-boxing aspects. I am into my client's third overall Muay Thai class and on hour four. We got straight into focus mitt work and stayed there for the duration of lesson, which more conditioning orientated. We trained for 7 x 3 minute rounds for one minute sports specific callisthenics during the "rest" periods. Round 1 - Boxing only Active rest - Boxing press-ups Round 2 - Ditto Active rest - Standing oblique rotations, straight punching and shoe shines at speed Round 3 - Chaining low round kicks Active rest - Full pivot rapid round kicks on the spot Round 4 - Teep and defence only Active rest - Squat and teep Round 5 - Chaining all round kicks and teeps Active rest - Teep to round kick switches on the same leg Round 6 - Chaining knees to the above Active rest - Lunge and knee Round 7 - Chaining elbows to the above Extended warm-down with Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching using the contract, relax (CR) method. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
