My client's ninth hour continued his work on the pinch headlock. We decided to break down the technique through a series of games. The first games looked to isolate and then establish the hold as an effective position and means for taking down an opponent. Then we brought in counter moves to both test the execution of either the move or its component parts and to effectively deal with it. The last game shifted the main emphasis away from the hold and onto the waist-lock. My client and I found that, although we weren't seeking the pinch headlock in this final round, all the head and arm based techniques played strong incidental supporting roles.
