My senior client returned for the fourth hour of his current course. We alternating between Boxing lessons and resistance work. His goals for strength and fitness were outlined in the previous class along with our current decision on his workout. Whilst his training is sporadic due to a range outside commitments, it is best that we stick to performing tri-sets of the big three lifts performed for hypertrophy and also manage his pull-up challenge. This is the benefit of personal training with flexible training times. I can accommodate my client and adjust their training accordingly.


The only difference between this time and the previous lesson is the pull-up progression was put at the end of the session. Usually I like to programme it in first, so that my client has maximum strength to achieve his goals. However, today we decided to use it for helping to decompress his spine from the heavy lifts. Also, it offered an opportunity to see how much stronger he would be for the weighted lifts.
