


20.03.2023 Hour six of my couple client's course on Mixed Martial Arts brought us onto the kickboxing with MMA glove and shoot-kickboxing.After a warm-up MMA sport specific agility ladder drills, we moved straight onto sparring where we sparred for 3 x 2 minute rounds kickboxing with MMA gloves and then 3 x 2 minute rounds shoot-kickboxing. The latter restriction permitt

ed wrestling clinching techniques with normal Muay Thai rules (sans elbows to the head). Using the circular training method, we looked at countering the sprawl to take the back using the sit-out and duck under. Next week we will stay within the MMA clinch, focusing on both shoot-boxing and shoot-kickboxing.
