01.02.2022 My client couple reached hour eight of their current 8-hour course on the clinch. After our preliminary run through of wrestling-based callisthenics and dynamic stretches, we got straight into drilling collar/elbow ties and over-hook/under-hooking. We then looked at a few counters to typical single legs. Looking at the two mid-line versions of the single leg takedown, we primarily focused on using at either pushing the head away or burrowing the fighter's head under the opponent's head (depending on how high/low their head is at the time), controlling with a single over-hook, moving the trapped leg to the outside, under-hooking and then going for a takedown from the back. For the very low level single-leg takedown, we pushed the shin in and sprawled, going immediately for the back-mount. The lesson finished with one full five minute round of clinch only sparring between my two clients, permitting all takedowns. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
