28.10.2022 My client's fifth hour on basic Mixed Martial Arts brought us onto some linked transitions from stand-up to ground. We segued into this via training slips. Using boxing methodology, first we covered the different ways a fighter can slip a jab or a rear hand straight. We focused on the jab and coordinating an angled position to the opponent's blind side. The fighter slips a jab and lands his own whilst moving into an angled position. From here we first covered the overhand punch.

Next we layered in some Muay Thai/Kickboxing by replacing the overhand with a low round kick to the leg. Our third combination had the jab become an entry to an arm-triangle clinch. From here we clinched and used knee strikes. After this we used the knee strikes to set up a takedown into an arm-triangle submission on the ground. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
