Testing Attack & Defence Sparring

10.07.2024 My 1.5 hour client continued his Muay Thai training with a look at how longer time spent on attack and defence sparring would impact on his overall fighting style. Therefore, rather than alternating between a attack or defence only restricted rounds, we covered several rounds where we stayed on the attack or the defence. Testing Attack/Defence Behaviours - 3-minute rounds with 1 minute rest to assess performance:

  1. Attack versus defence - boxing

  2. Attack versus defence - kicks only

  3. Attack versus defence - clinch only

  4. Front foot versus back-foot sparring - kickboxing & clinch

  5. Freesparring

  6. Defence versus attack - boxing

  7. Defence versus attack - kicks

  8. Defence versus attack - clinch only

  9. Front foot versus back-foot sparring - kickboxing & clinch

  10. Freesparring

Burnout (with 15 second rests): 1 minute exchanging teeps to the mid-section 1 minute partner bicycle crunches 1 minute exchanging teeps to the mid-section 1 minute side-to-side partner leg raise 1 minute exchanging teeps to the mid-section 1 minute sit-up to straight punches     https://clubbchimera.com/services/
