I used ladder drills to break down both the mechanics of the round kick - looking more to get the full 180 degree pivot of the support foot - and using shuffles to build a better switch-step. We then brought these onto the focus mitts. My client also asked about the double-jab. Again, the Muay Thai double-jab differs from the Boxing double-jab. This is due to the footwork. Understandably the Muay Thai double-jab doesn't just come off the elbow but requires a double-step action. The lesson finished with 3 x 3 minute rounds of sparring, including a clinch-only round, and then 2 x technique/speed/power rounds on punches and kicks. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
