18.09.21 Saturday's private lesson brought my new client up to the five hour mark of his course on Basic Muay Thai. At his request, I trained two adults and and two children over three hours on Muay Thai fundamentals. Lesson One - First lesson was a beginner lesson for an adult with some prior experience, focusing on use of the teep, basic footwork, shin-checks, teep scooping interception, covers, parries, jab, straight right and the rear leg round kick. We began with dynamic stretching and sport specific callisthenics before moving onto techniques and basic combinations. The lesson finished with one three minute round of pad-work followed by static stretching. Lesson Two - My regular client's lesson built upon previous lessons with a focus on improving the low round kick, bringing in the lead hook punch and pairing the shin-check with the teep.We began with dynamic stretching and sport specific callisthenics before moving onto techniques and basic combinations. The lesson finished 2 x 2 minute rounds of pad-work, integrating combinations followed by 2 x 3 minute rounds of technique/speed/power (the first was boxing only and the second kickboxing) and then a static stretching cool down. Lesson Three - Children's beginner lesson. After a warm-up, we looked at the basic stance and guard. We did some restrictive training to concentrate on keeping the elbows in, jab, straight right and the teep. The lesson finished with 2 x 2 minute rounds of shadow boxing. https://clubbchimera.com/services/
